LUANN celebrates 40 years in 2025! Greg LOVES what he does and his daughter, Karen, loves that she gets to co-create with him. So this Valentine's we're taking a look at all the strips from February 14th: the funny, serious, disappointing, giddy, and heartfelt. Not every storyline is about V-day and lots of characters come and go, so we've added some notes to help you out!

In 1990, Delta was over-achieving to the point of extreme exhaustion. Not exactly a Valentine's theme, but an important storyline nonetheless.

In 2002, Bernice met Zane and romance blossomed...just not on Valentine's Day specifically.

By 2006 Brad is trying to date Toni...and sort of succeeding?
In 2007, Bernice learned she had an older brother, Ben, who had been given up for adoption.

On a class trip to Washington, D.C in 2009, when Barack Obama was President.
2010: Quill, from Australia, becomes a love interest.

2012 is not really a romantic storyline, except the instructor happens to be Karen's real life husband, Jason <3
By 2013, Quill was in Australia and Luann was frustrated with their long-distance relationship. Spoiler alert: Quill surprised Luann here with a Valentine's video chat 🙂
2014: Gunther's love for Rosa inspired one of the most beautiful Valentine's strips!
2015 Tiffany and Gunther start to get closer
2016 was the epic breakup of Luann and Quill 🙁
Les starts to fall for coworker Pru in 2017, assuming she's interested in men (she's not).
Other than taking place at a Soufflé Lingerie event, this 2018 storyline wasn't about Valentine's but vengeance!
How did Gunther meet his girlfriend, Bets? This 2019 storyline was the start.
2020: Married life for Brad and Toni still has the spark!

2023 was not V-day centric, but there's plenty of love-hate here between Bets and Tiffany!
2024: Love isn't easy, especially when it's for a complex friend like Piro.
